Eat a healthy, well balanced breakfast
Prepare a small snack to take with you. Good choices are energy bars, raw veggies, fruit, nuts or cheese and crackers.
Keep a bottle of water on hand and drink throughout the day.
If you wake up with puffy eyes, apply cold tea bags and rest for a few minutes.
Pack a tote bag with the following kits separated into zip lock bags for ease. Use small “travel sizes” when possible:
Makeup Repair Kit including waterproof mascara, shadow, powder, cotton swabs, concealer and extra lipstick
Sewing Kit including small scissors, safety pins, masking tape (provides quick hem repair!), thread in the color of your dress and bridesmaids, a needle, spot remover wipes
Personal Care Kit including aspirin or other pain reliever, Alka
Seltzer, antihistamine, band aids, throat lozenges or hard candy, deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrush, contact lens solution and handy wipes.
Hair Repair Kit including bobby pins, hair pins, travel size hair spray, brush and comb
Nail Repair Kit including emery board, polish remover, polish in the exact color of your manicure, top coat and hand lotion.
Extra hose and a pair of pretty flats in case your feet need a break
Prepare your handbag and include lipstick, tissues, breath mints or spray and powder. Your Maid of Honor or Mom can hold on to this for you during the day.
Have a list of key phone numbers
Weather related items such as an umbrella, shawl or stol
Make sure your honeymoon bags have been packed in advance and are ready to go. Don’t forget your passport, tickets and money.
Double check that you have the Marriage License and that the rings are with the Best Man.
Apply makeup first or while your hair is being done, do final touches on the hair, dress last.
Change your engagement ring to your right hand.
